Dexter

Congratulations!
Dexter just received his CD, i.e., Companion Dog certification. This is in addition to the Good Canine Citizen Title and Therapy Dog Certification he has already earned.

Dear GRREAT,

Dexter is a super dog! He keeps us entertained and on our toes. He's smart, obedient, and great with the grandchildren. Thanks for finding us such a nice dog!

Dear GRREAT,

Joanna suggested that I should e-mail you to let you know what a good watchdog I have become.

This is a true story.

We went for a nice walk in Mariners Museum Park yesterday -- the trail is beautiful in the fall. As we approached the hill near Lions Bridge, we came upon a very strange sight. There was a wild-looking horse rearing up on top of a pedestal. Around the base were sitting four of the largest men I have ever seen.

They couldn't have been very smart, because they were all naked, and it was a cold day. Maybe they were sick, because their skin (as well as the horse's) was all gray and their eyes looked blank. Fortunately, there was a fence around them to keep them confined.

After watching them for a few minutes, I growled at them but they didn't react. So then I started barking. They were paralyzed with fear and did not move a muscle. I'm sure that now those men are sufficiently intimidated that we won't have any problems with them if we walk in that area again.

Joanna says she is proud of my watchdog ability, and glad that she doesn't have to worry about being attacked by any statues when I'm with her.

Your Friend, Dexter
